7.19pm
I haven't slept in 26 hours and the last I ate was about a handful of
uncooked cookie dough at around five in the morning, unless one counts the
three cups of coffee I had at around nine. On a positive note for my
ability to resist the urge to sleep through most of my days and all of my
responsibilities, I finished a ten page research paper on the diplomatic
action Britain could have taken to prevent WWII; got a paycheck and paid all
my bills and a chunk of my credit cards; wrote some emails and made some
calls which got people moving on a project which my boss has been neglecting
for over a month while whining about not knowing what to do about it, and
hinting that I come up with something; when I got done with all that, I
opted to relax not by taking a nap, but by taking a bubble bath and reading
the rest of Animal Farm, which I strangely was never compelled to
read in high school or before, and then I went out into the newly crisp
autumn air and took a flashcard full of pictures
of the trees and leaves and sky.
(The night
pic
is just me checking out how well I could take pictures of rainy dark roads
without changing too many settings; the
sleeping
nicholas
ones are a result of the combination of him looking cute and innocent and me
being deadly bored of writing my paper at about two or three am.)
And now I'm writing! There are two parties tonight which I have yearning
to attend, and I'm not quite certain how possible it is going to be. Both
shall have many fun people in attendance, and hopefully not too many
dummies. I'm contemplating costume decisions presently, but I believe that
if I just go all out on the cute meter, it'll be almost as good as a
costume. Due to the fact that I am quite permanently attached to my digital
camera, I expect, if I can make it through the night, there will be at least
some photographic evidence of the night to come. [edited to add]
I'm off to look for fuel in the form of caloric intake. Have great
weekends, kiddies!
