You knew all along how this would end
Why did you let me in?

And I rolled down the window
Gotta keep my eyes on the road
You'd lean back and I'd adjust the rearview
Just so I can look at you
Just so I can look at you

--timber, how I remember you

It's a little out of character for me as of late to let an entire week go by without any digital mentions. I did have several great days and nights away from my computer, involving pho with... tripe in it, I Am The World Trade Center, fried green tomatoes, Interpol blaring with the windows and sunroof down on a bright blue day, Bonnie's birthday, jacuzzis, day-glo body paint, bare feet on cold damp asphalt at night, Cape Feare, Arundhati Roy and many hours curled up in my bed with a professorish boy who is constantly coming up with new ways to make me happy.

Tonight I am going to dinner with my illustrious and just-turned-23 roommmate for her birthday, hopefully to somewhere spicy, then to what is often my favorite part of the week: MST-y at Dave and Beck's, with brie and with Red Stripes, and then and then! I'm going to see how much long I can get my batteries to last, and accompany the devastatingly lovely zb to britpop at MJQ.

It is bewildering to me that I continue to find more things to learn about modems. That finite set of data got the door shut on it years ago, and yet here I am creeping around in the cobwebs.
