And if you've learned anything from working for me, you Up-addicted half-monkey/half-man, I would hope you've picked up on the fairly basic fucking theme that monkeys will in general ignore things that they find to be depressing, and will always ignore something they find boring.
Ms. Dooce has drilled into my head the good lesson of not talking too much about work here on my personal jibberish site, and I'm going to stick with that and just note that I'm really happy with work these days, loving the new office and feeling a potentiality for productivity that I have not felt in a long while.

My 25 most favorite movies, in some semblance of order, with the assumption that certain movies can be grouped together and count as one, which is perhaps a little liberal of me, but this is my list, so I can organize it how I please.
- La Vita è Bella
- Harold and Maude
- The Lord of the Rings trilogy
- The Shawshank Redemption
- Natural Born Killers
- The Hours
- Annie Hall
- The Big Lebowski
- The Star Wars trilogy
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Blade Runner
- Love Actually
- American History X
- Before Sunrise and Before Sunset
- Clerks
- Dead Poets' Society
- Pi
- Waking Life
- Gone with the Wind
- Reality Bites
- The Royal Tenenbaums
- Super Troopers
- Ghost World
- Apocalypse Now Redux
- The Incredibles
I think it is possible that a healthy chunk of these are on every single person in the world's favorite movie list and are not very original, but that does not mean that they are not all stellar movies that say important things about my soul.
MY SOULLLLLLLLLLLL.

I'm off for a quick pretty walk through the drippy grey streets to get more thick fancy paper from the art store and look up at the sky melting into the buildings that scrape against it.
