Things I've done this weekend:
Star Wars; gasping and bawling as a result of preceding; a lovely coffee shop trip that included the final writing of my long-awaited statement; a visit to the marsh, ocean, lake, harbor; not much river interaction on this trip, alas; got salt and sand in my hair and in between my toes; watched a great episode of West Wing with my parents; made two trips to the Mercury Lounge, which continues to be successful in meeting my standards for a cool bar; attended my first fashion show; was terribly attracted to many homosexual boys; danced in pretty new shoes; developed a huge appreciation for SCAD's ability to throw an event; waterskied with more drive and endurance than I typically express; eaten tons of fabulous food, primarily of the genre "homemade"; been approached for what may have been the first time by a cute boy who wanted to tell me I was beautiful; read a bit of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell, even though it tends to give me the creeps; edited a waterski video with my iBook; saw and tremendously enjoyed Kinsey; drove past the house I lived in from eight until ten, and walked around in all my habitations from ten to eighteen; saw stars and a clear shiny full moon; realized how close I am to being 25; looked for my old French books, to limited success; talked and thought about camping, iPods, the machine of success and/or society and its demand for a daily 9-5 job, schooling, astronomy, parapalegic sex, city development and economic rise and fall, unparalleled scientific discovery, food likes and dislikes, alcohol, fashion and magic.
