Having power and internet and also really pretty laptops in your cozy bed: these are all really really awesome. I feel like only now can I fully appreciate them. And so it was, that the electric company actually got me to have pangs of love and appreciation for them: after having to wait almost four weeks for the internet and phone people to get their shit totally straight, losing power this evening was a rather teasingly scary prospect, placing us back into the hands of the gods of utilities, having only to trust in them, knowing that they hate us. The internet remains sporadic, even after everything has returned. It must just be trying to keep us on our toes.
