Happy birthday to a certain someone.

Possible horcruxes: Harry's scar, accidentally; the Sorting Hat, which Dumbledore (and perhaps Joanne as well?) seems to have forgotten belonged to Godric Gryffindor, and which would be the crowning glory of taking over Hogwarts someday for Voldemort; the green liquid in the cave, explicated upon rather brilliantly by the talented R. J. Anderson, or, perhaps in a way that is connected: Dumbledore himself.

  • The diary
  • The ring
  • The locket
  • The liquid?
  • Dumbledore? (More likely, the cup—or the Sorting hat!—still remains.)
  • Nagini.
  • Voldemort himself.

I don't like the idea of Dumbledore intentionally leaving some unknown and odd number of Horcruxes remaining for Harry to find on his own, when it has taken him, a much cleverer wizard, three years to get the information he has.

But he can't be expecting Harry to learn these new revelations from Snape, after the debacle of Occlumency. Surely that would give us another reason for Dumbledore's insistence that they learn to work together, though.

I can't believe that I'm up past three again. I'm only formulating these theories for myself, or else I would do a much better job at exposition.

But I still can't stop thinking of book seven and the three boys that I can't help but wish for an appearance from: a moral and respected Snape, a hopeful and hope-worthy Draco, a repentful Tom.

No way in hell will JKR bring back Tom, but I have a strong touch of love for the boy.
