The same is true in computers. You can do something the brute force way, the stupid grind-the-problem-down-until-it's-not-a-problem-anymore way, or you can find the right approach and suddenly the problem goes away. You look at the problem another way, and you have this epiphany: It was only a problem because you were looking at it the wrong way.

new york people: there's going to be a xmas party here at my place in a week, on Saturday night. I'll send out invitations tomorrow, I think.

[edited to add: party has been postponed to the new year; current votes are toward the weekend of the 19th.]

It's now after four o'clock in the morning and my boyfriend is giving me a wake-up call in four hours. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm not even going to go into my sleep patterns over the course of the last three days.

I'm still sniffling even after sleeping the entire weekend, wtf!!!

some quick additions: I proceeded from the above to stay up all night and finish that linus book. It's pretty fabulous, very inspirational in regards to the ability to do anything you might dream up with computers, maybe even start a revolution, even if you didn't want to.

I think some people have already figured it out, but bo's site is back up, and with an update, no less. Whispered promises of a physical piece of evidence of the Wydelles' so-called "recording"?

coffee should get me through the next 12 hours I hope.
